Basketball Game Preview: Collins Warriors vs. Douglass Tigers

The Collins Warriors will square off against the Douglass Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Collins has seven straight victories, Douglass has nine straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Collins is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Legal Prep 82-23 on Wednesday. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Douglass duked it out withKelvyn Park on Thursday. Douglass lost 48-23 to Kelvyn Park.

Collins' win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points per game. As for Douglass, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Everything came up roses for Collins against Douglass in their previous meeting back in January of 2019, as the team secured an 85-23 victory. Will Collins repeat their success, or does Douglass have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
