Baseball Recap: Holy Name Takes a Loss

Holy Name couldn't beat Chardon on Thursday even though they stacked five runs on them in the fourth inning. The Green Wave took a 13-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hilltoppers. The Green Wave have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ismael Sostre, Jr. made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Joe Svetz, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Holy Name's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Chardon, they pushed their record up to 13-10 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Holy Name will be playing in front of their home fans against Elyria Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Chardon, they will face off against Kirtland at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
