Soccer Recap: Troy's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Friday

Troy kept a clean sheet against Esperanza on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Esperanza Aztecs. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 212th, while the Aztecs are ranked 535th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Troy's victory bumped their record up to 11-5-5. As for Esperanza, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-10-4.

Troy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Esperanza, they are taking a road trip to take on Brea Olinda at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Brea Olinda will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Esperanza surely won't give up without a fight.
