Basketball Recap: Kyle Kramer's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Sandhills Valley over Twin Loup

Sandhills Valley lost against Twin Loup back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Sandhills Valley Mavericks took a 53-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Twin Loup Wolves.

Several Mavericks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kyle Kramer, who almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds. Kramer has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more blocks the last 23 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Leyton Connell, who posted 11 points and seven assists.

Twin Loup found their leader in freshman Yahya Harris, who went 6 of 11 from beyond the arc to rack up 29 points and three steals. Henry Sortum was another key player, putting up ten points and eight boards.

Sandhills Valley's loss dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Twin Loup, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-5.

Sandhills Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 57-40 win against Brady on the 6th. As for Twin Loup, they have also already played their next contest, a 59-45 victory against Anselmo-Merna on the 6th.
