There's no place like home for Waynesboro, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Buffalo Gap Bison on Thursday as they made off with a 12-2 win. The Little Giants not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since May 16, 2024 (when they won 12-1).

The team relied heavily on Zach Rankin, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. Dalen Daughtry was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four RBI.

Waynesboro always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Waynesboro's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 3-6. As for Buffalo Gap, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.
