Baseball Recap: Rantoul Comes Up Short

While it was Rantoul who put the first runs on the board on Monday, it was Tolono Unity who put up more. The Eagles fell 8-4 to the Rockets. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Rockets recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Yovanny Solorzano made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Levi Duitsman, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

Rantoul now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Tolono Unity, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season.

Rantoul didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-1 defeat against St. Joseph-Ogden on the 10th. As for Tolono Unity, they have also already played their next game, a 15-4 victory against Okaw Valley on the 8th.
