Soccer Recap: Schroon Lake Comes Up Short

If Schroon Lake was feeling good fresh off their 8-1 takedown of Crown Point on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Beekmantown Eagles on Monday. Schroon Lake were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Beekmantown apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Schroon Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 11-3. As for Beekmantown, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, Schroon Lake will look to defend their home pitch on Wednesday against Wells at 4:00 p.m. As for Beekmantown, they are taking a road trip to face off against Peru at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Peru will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Beekmantown surely won't give up without a fight.
