After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Regents, St. Joseph Academy was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Economedes Jaguars, posting a 51-21 victory at home. That 30 point margin sets a new team best for the Bloodhounds this season.

A big part of St. Joseph Academy's win came down to the chemistry between Gavin Cisneros and his top target Claudio Torres. Cisneros rushed for 66 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries while Torres gained 246 total yards and two touchdowns. Torres also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack and making 13 total tackles.

Economedes lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being John Carreon, who rushed for 50 yards and a touchdown.

St. Joseph Academy pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Economedes, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.
