Basketball Recap: Kearney Takes a Loss

If Kearney was riding high fresh off their 54-32 takedown of Shawnee Mission North last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The contest between the Kearney Bulldogs and the Lafayette Fighting Irish didn't end well, with the Kearney Bulldogs falling 46-27. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 37-29 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2022.

Kearney's loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-2. As for Lafayette, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Kearney has already played their next matchup, a 41-34 win against Savannah on the 13th. Lafayette will take on Central in a holiday battle at at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
