Basketball Recap: Grace Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Grace Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by The Webb School Feet and fell 66-11. The matchup marked the Lions' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Daria Biriuk was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 19 points and ten steals for The Webb School. The contest was Biriuk's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Sophie Mcinturff was another key player, going 7 of 16 en route to 15 points along with eight rebounds and five steals.

Grace Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for The Webb School, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.

Grace Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Franklin Road Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Franklin Road Academy will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Grace Christian Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for The Webb School, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll challenge Middle Tennessee Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Webb School knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Middle Tennessee Christian likes a good challenge.
