Volleyball Game Preview: Rock Hill Blue Hawks vs. Princeton Panthers

Rock Hill is a perfect 7-0 against Princeton since October of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Blue Hawks will head out on the road to face off against the Panthers at 6:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with seven consecutive losses for Rock Hill and eight for Princeton.

Rock Hill lost 3-0 to Allen on Tuesday.

Rock Hill took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-18, 28-26.

Despite the loss, Rock Hill had strong showings from Emma Alexander, who had 17 digs, and Tiyana Bhatte, who had four digs and two aces. Alexander is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last eight games she's played. Sy Reyes also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Panthers on Tuesday. Princeton came up short against Plano East, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-8, 25-12.

Rock Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 11-20. As for Princeton, their loss dropped their record down to 10-20.

Everything went Rock Hill's way against Princeton in their previous matchup back in September, as Rock Hill made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Hawks since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
