Basketball Recap: Hillsdale Takes a Loss

Hillsdale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat. They took a 55-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clinton Redwolves. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hornets of the 49-38 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Hillsdale's defeat dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Clinton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-9.

Hillsdale and Clinton could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. Hillsdale (ranked 595th) will meet Ida (ranked 183rd) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Clinton will take on Madison at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 274 places (361 vs. 87).
