Riverside-Durham faced Reagan in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Pirates fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 2-1. The Pirates' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Riverside-Durham saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jacob Feller had four digs and two aces. Feller has been hot recently, having also posted 20 or more assists the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Carter Buchanan, who had three digs and two blocks.

Riverside-Durham's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Reagan, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-6.

Riverside-Durham has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Chapel Hill on the 14th. As for Reagan, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Triangle Math & Science on the 12th.
