Volleyball Recap: Columbus Torah Academy's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Columbus Torah Academy waltzed into their game on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Everything went their way against the Ohio School for the Deaf Spartans as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 two weeks ago.

While Columbus Torah Academy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-9, 25-9.

Leading Columbus Torah Academy to victory were Bella Cieplinski and Alemaz Samuel. Cieplinski had eight aces, while Samuel had four aces. That's the most aces Samuel has posted since back in August of 2024.

They weren't the only good server: Columbus Torah Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 21 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in seven consecutive matches.

Columbus Torah Academy's record now sits at 6-2. As for Ohio School for the Deaf, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Coincidentally, Columbus Torah Academy and Ohio School for the Deaf will both be playing Varsity Opponent the next time they take the court. The Spartans will host Varsity Opponent at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Lions will host them at 5:30 p.m. on the 25th.
