Basketball Recap: Columbia Falls Takes a Loss

Columbia Falls lost against Beaverhead County back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Columbia Falls Wildcats came up short against the Beaverhead County Beavers, falling 62-41. The contest marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Beaverhead County had a senior duo take command as Carter Curnow shot 73% from the field on his way to 24 points along with seven assists and seven boards and Kyler Engellant went 10-for-19 en route to 26 points and seven rebounds. The game was Engellant's third in a row with at least 17 points. Braxtyn Turney was another key player, putting up four points in addition to seven assists and seven boards.

Columbia Falls' loss dropped their record down to 15-4. As for Beaverhead County, the win (which was their 17th in a row) raised their record to 19-1.

Columbia Falls does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Beaverhead County, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 63-48 victory against Browning on the 8th.
