Football Recap: Steamboat Springs Starts Season with Win on the Road + How To Watch

Steamboat Springs had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Coal Ridge Titans 39-16 on Friday. The Sailors have beaten the Titans the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Titans has come to flipping the script.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Steamboat Springs to victory, but perhaps none more so than Thomas Krupp, who rushed for 136 yards and two TDs, and also picked up 48 receiving yards. That's the most rushing touchdowns Krupp has posted since back in August of 2024. Lucas Krupp was in the mix too, providing Steamboat Springs with two scores.
