After losing to Sabetha the last time they met, Hiawatha decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Red Hawks came out on top against the Bluejays by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday.
Hiawatha easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-18.
Remy Siebenmorgen paced Hiawatha's offense, picking up nine kills. Siebenmorgen got some help from Adison Williams and her 20 assists. Kylie Nelson controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Hiawatha's win bumped their record up to 9-18. As for Sabetha, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-17.
Hiawatha wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against St. Marys on the 30th. Hopefully Sabetha paid attention to the Red Hawks' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Red Hawks at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
