Soccer Recap: East Kentwood Comes Up Short

East Kentwood was the 1-0 winner over Grand Haven when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Falcons fell just short of the Buccaneers by a score of 2-1 on Monday. East Kentwood fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against Grand Haven since Monday.

East Kentwood has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-3-1 record this season. As for Grand Haven, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Coincidentally, East Kentwood and Grand Haven will both be playing Grandville the next time they take the pitch. The Buccaneers will head out to face the Bulldogs at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Falcons will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
