Baseball Recap: McDonald County Comes Up Short

McDonald County was the 1-0 winner over Neosho when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Mustangs fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

McDonald County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Neosho, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McDonald County will take on Nevada at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Neosho, they will venture away from home to take on Parkview at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats are facing the Vikings at the right time seeing as the Vikings are stuck on a 24-game losing streak.
