Football Game Preview: Cypress Ranch Mustangs vs. Bridgeland Bears + How To Watch

The Cypress Ranch Mustangs will head out on the road to face off against the Bridgeland Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cypress Ranch is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.

If Bridgeland heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Cypress Ranch took over last week. The Mustangs enjoyed a cozy 28-14 victory over Cypress Woods on Friday. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 170th, while the Wildcats are ranked 411th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jordan Ruth went supernova, rushing for 166 yards and one TD while picking up 10.4 yards per carry. Those 166 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Manny Leyja did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 93 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, Bridgeland humbled Cypress Lakes with a 44-16 victory. The win continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won seven in a row.

Cypress Ranch's record is now 6-2. As for Bridgeland, their record now sits at an identical 6-2.

Cypress Ranch was taken down by Bridgeland 41-3 in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
