Baseball Game Preview: Broadwater Academy Vikings vs. Chincoteague Ponies

After both having extra time off, the Broadwater Academy Vikings and the Chincoteague Ponies will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Last Thursday, Broadwater Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Isle of Wight Academy and fell 6-5. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Aidan Fuller made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Danny Gallivan was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Chincoteague gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener two weeks ago. They walked away with a 5-2 win over Pocomoke.

Broadwater Academy now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Chincoteague, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.

Everything went Broadwater Academy's way against Chincoteague in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Broadwater Academy made off with a 15-4 win. Will Broadwater Academy repeat their success, or does Chincoteague has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
