Baseball Recap: Arbor View Takes Down Ranked Sierra Vista

Arbor View faced Sierra Vista in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Aggies walked away with a 9-6 win over the Mountain Lions. The Aggies haven't had any issues with the Mountain Lions recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Dasani Martin, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Devin Martin, who earned one RBI and two runs.

Arbor View pushed their record up to 17-8 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Sierra Vista, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-9.

Looking ahead, Arbor View will take on Basic at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Wolves' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Aggies' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Sierra Vista does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
