Baseball Recap: Hale Ray Takes a Loss

Hale Ray lost to Haddam-Killingworth back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Little Noises fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 2-1. The Little Noises just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

August Riccio spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on two hits and racked up six Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

Hale Ray's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Haddam-Killingworth, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-3-1.

Hale Ray has already played their next contest, a 9-1 loss against Valley Regional on the 22nd. As for Haddam-Killingworth, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 4-0 victory against Coginchaug Regional on the 22nd.
