Softball Game Preview: Temple Academy Bereans vs. Telstar Rebels

Temple Academy hasn't had much luck against Telstar recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Bereans will look to defend their home field against the Rebels at 4:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Temple Academy lost 14-4 to Forest Hills on Thursday. That's two games in a row now that the Bereans have lost by exactly ten runs.

Madyson Ellis made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Telstar came up short against North Yarmouth Academy on Friday, falling 15-2.

Telstar saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooklyn Deprey, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Temple Academy now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Telstar, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.

Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Temple Academy hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .357. However, it's not like Telstar struggles in that department as they've averaged .351. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
