Basketball Recap: Brandon Castilla Key Part of a Team Effort in Wolves Win

Davenport won the last time they faced Fredericksburg and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Davenport Wolves came out on top against the Fredericksburg Billies by a score of 66-56. Given the Wolves' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 244th, while the Billies are ranked 588th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Davenport's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brandon Castilla, who went 8 for 18 on his way to 18 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Richard Groff, who went 5 of 9 en route to 11 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.
