Softball Recap: Battlefield Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Battlefield can now relate to. They fell 7-2 to the Forest Park Bruins on Monday. The Bobcats' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Olivia Morse spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and three unearned) runs on nine hits.

At the plate, Battlefield saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lauren Wolf, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Battlefield's defeat dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Forest Park, they have been performing well recently as they've won 13 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Battlefield nor Forest Park have any future games scheduled.
