            Baseball Recap: Lower Cape May Tigers vs. Timber Creek Regional Chargers        
        
		
        
        
            Lower Cape May was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight  defeat. They took  a  7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Timber Creek Regional Chargers. The Tigers were not able to make up for their  loss to the Chargers from their previous meeting  back in May of 2024.
 Sean Kelleher put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Kelleher was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with one  double.
 In other batting news,  Ashton Ray was cooking despite his team's loss,   going 2-for-4 with one  home run. That  home run marked the first that  he has  launched this season.
Lower Cape May's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Timber Creek Regional,  the  win snapped their losing streak at three games  and leaves them with a 4-6 record.
 Coming up, Lower Cape May will look to defend their home field  on Monday against Holy Spirit  at 4:00  p.m. The Spartans' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9  runs per game  this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Timber Creek Regional, they will face off against Cedar Creek at 9:00  a.m.  on Saturday.
