Basketball Recap: Colby Takes a Loss

Colby was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They fell 44-32 to the Owen-Withee Blackhawks. If the Hornets were looking for revenge after losing 45-19 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Colby's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Owen-Withee, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Colby will take on Loyal at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Owen-Withee, they will face off against Gilman at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Gilman is on a five-game streak of home wins, Owen-Withee a eight-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
