Volleyball Recap: Grayslake Central Falls Short of Libertyville in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Grayslake Central can now relate to. They fell 2-0 to the Libertyville Wildcats on Thursday. The Rams have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Ben Boron paced Grayslake Central's offense, picking up nine kills. Boron got some help from Bryce Tupaz and his 14 assists. Tupaz was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Grayslake Central's loss dropped their record down to 28-8. As for Libertyville, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 30-4.

Grayslake Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Libertyville, they are taking a road trip to square off against Barrington at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Fillies/Broncos are coming into the matchup with eight straight wins at home, so the Wildcats will have to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
