Baseball Recap: Timberline Falls Short Against Ranked Capital

Timberline faced Capital in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Wolves lost 10-3 to the Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Wolves have suffered since April 2nd.

Timberline got a good showing from Grayson Slack, who struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits (and only one walk).

On the hitting side, Timberline saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was David Ryden, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Timberline and nudges their season record down to 12-12. As for Capital, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-10.

As of now, neither Timberline nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
