Preview: Eastchester Eagles vs. Fox Lane Foxes
The Eastchester Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Fox Lane Foxes at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Eastchester put the finishing touches on their fifth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Greeley 54-7 on the road. With Eastchester ahead 41-0 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Meanwhile, it was close, but on Saturday Fox Lane sidestepped John Jay for a 24-21 victory. That's two games straight that Fox Lane has won by exactly three points.
Declan Connors was a one-man wrecking crew for Fox Lane as he rushed for 231 yards and two touchdowns. Connors' longest rush was for an incredible 87 yards. Theo Friedman made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
The win makes it two in a row for Eastchester and bumps their season record up to 6-2. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 33 points. As for Fox Lane, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Everything went Eastchester's way against Fox Lane when the teams last played back in October of 2022 as Eastchester made off with a 35-13 victory. Does Eastchester have another victory up their sleeve, or will Fox Lane turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
