Baseball Recap: Handley's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Handley never let their opponents score on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Central of Coosa County Cougars with a sharp 12-0 win. That 12 run margin sets a new team best for the Tigers this season.

Handley got a great performance from Hayden Hare as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over six innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Cordan Patterson was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in runs. Owen Gabriel was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Handley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive matches.

Handley's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 7-3. As for Central of Coosa County, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. We've got a battle between Tigers coming up. The timing is sure in Handley's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Randolph County has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road. As for Central of Coosa County, they will take on Horseshoe Bend at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
