Look back at historic season for Brandon Roy's Raiders.

For the second year in a row, the head coach of high school basketball's national champion is on the move.

Multiple social media posts suggest Brandon Roy is leaving Nathan Hale (Seattle) for his alma mater Garfield (Seattle) after a stellar debut season on the sideline. One year after going 3-18, the Raiders went 29-0 en route to state and national titles.
Last year it was Steve Baik leaving Chino Hills (Calif.) for Fairfax (Los Angeles) after a 35-0 campaign that resulted in section, state and national titles.

Roy was in the news earlier this month after being shot in Los Angeles.

Prior to becoming a star at the University of Washington and with the Portland Trail Blazers, Roy made a name for himself as a player at Garfield in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

Roy's Nathan Hale team beat Garfield four times during the 2016-17, including a 68-51 win in the Class 3A state championship game. He will replace highly-successful coach Ed Haskins, who rejuvenated the powerhouse program before taking an assistant coach job at Washington State.
Expect the Garfield program to run at a high level under Brandon Roy, who won a national title in his first and only season at Nathan Hale.
