Marshall entered their tilt with Western on Friday with six consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with seven. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 58-53 W against the Western Panthers. This was a revenge game for the Redhawks: when they faced off against the Panthers back in January, they had to take a 52-49 defeat.

Marshall pushed their record up to 14-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.2 points over those games. As for Western, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marshall will face off against Northwest at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Western, they will challenge Mason at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Mason knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Western likes a good challenge.
