Softball Game Preview: El Camino Eagles vs. Dixon Rams

El Camino hasn't had much luck against Dixon recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Eagles are taking a road trip to challenge the Rams at 4:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

El Camino played against Destiny Christian Academy on Thursday and lost via forfeit.

Dixon's last matchup with Casa Roble could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Thursday. Dixon came up short against Casa Roble, falling 8-2. Having soared to a lofty 22 runs in the game before, Dixon couldn't push the score so high this time.

Dixon saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Allison Latham, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Latham is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

This is the second loss in a row for El Camino and nudges their season record down to 4-11. As for Dixon, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-5.

El Camino might still be hurting after the 14-2 loss they got from Dixon in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
