Softball Recap: Chapman Panthers vs. Pendleton Bulldogs
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Palmetto, Chapman was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Pendleton Bulldogs. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Panthers considering their two-run performance the matchup before.
The team relied heavily on Rylan Ivey, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Krisylyn Wilder, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Chapman hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in six consecutive contests.
Chapman is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-10 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games.
