Basketball Recap: Clay Panthers vs. Glenwood Tigers

Clay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 67-56 to the Glenwood Tigers. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Glenwood to victory, but perhaps none more so than Wyatt McNeil, who shot 4-for-5 from long range and dropped a double-double on 22 points and 13 boards. Lamarcus Parker was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 11 assists.

Clay's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Glenwood, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-10.

Clay didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 65-50 defeat against Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington on the 25th. As for Glenwood, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 66-41 victory against Fairview on the 25th.
