Volleyball Recap: Stamford Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

The Stamford Black Knights made easy work of the New Milford Green Wave on Monday and carried off a 3-0 win.

Stamford not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept New Milford between 16 and 17 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-17, 25-17.

John Thomas paced Stamford's offense, picking up 12 kills. Thomas got some help from Christopher Aquino and his 21 assists. Aquino was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Stamford's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-3. As for New Milford, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.

Stamford will face off against Westhill at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for New Milford, they will square off against Kolbe-Cathedral at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
