Volleyball Recap: Victory Christian's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Victory Christian came tearing into Thursday's match with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the New Manna Christian Wind by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 last Thursday.

Victory Christian had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 16-25, 25-21, 25-23, 25-20.

Victory Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zoe Vernelson, who had eight kills, four digs, and three aces. Those eight kills gave Vernelson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aerin Mcleod, who had 12 assists and five aces.

They weren't the only good server: Victory Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Victory Christian's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for New Manna Christian, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Victory Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against North Georgia Christian Academy on the 5th. As for New Manna Christian, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Vandalia Christian on the 5th.
