Basketball Recap: Lemont Comes Up Short

Lemont was the 58-54 winner over Thornton Fractional North when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Lemont Lemont HS were outmatched by the Thornton Fractional North Meteors and fell 63-30. The Lemont HS were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-9.

Thornton Fractional North's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lauryn Jackson, who posted 16 points. Another player making a difference was Kamariyah Mcclinton, who scored 12 points.

Lemont now has a losing record at 10-11. As for Thornton Fractional North, they pushed their record up to 16-8 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

The future could be bright for both Lemont and Thornton Fractional North: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently.
