Softball Recap: Rosholt Comes Up Short

If Rosholt was riding high fresh off their 19-9 takedown of Bowler on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hornets fell just short of the Athens Bluejays by a score of 5-3 on Monday.

Gracie Flees made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Nyman, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Rosholt's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Athens, they moved to 2-5 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rosholt will host Pacelli at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Athens, they will welcome Phillips at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
