Volleyball Recap: Campo Verde Beats Desert Edge for Their Fourth Straight Win

Campo Verde entered their tilt with Desert Edge on Tuesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Scorpions with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Coyotes, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

One reason for the win was Campo Verde's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-14, 25-11.

Malakai Bredensteiner paced Campo Verde's offense, picking up 13 kills. Bredensteiner got some help from Carter Skousen and his 29 assists. Bredensteiner also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Isaiah Holland, racking up four apiece.

Campo Verde pushed their record up to 21-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Desert Edge, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-8.

Coming up, Campo Verde will be playing at home against Centennial at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Desert Edge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
