Recap: Innovations International Ambassadors vs. Pinecrest Academy Cadence Cougars
The Innovations International Ambassadors were the 49-31 winner over the Pinecrest Academy Cadence Cougars when they last played one another back in January of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. Innovations International was the victim of a tough 55-32 loss at the hands of Pinecrest Academy Cadence on Friday.
Pinecrest Academy Cadence was led to victory by Jeremiah Maurer and Elijah Engfer. Maurer scored 14 points, while Engfer scored 15 points. Those 15 points set a new season-high mark for him.
Innovations International's defeat dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Pinecrest Academy Cadence, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 5-3 record this season.
After both having extra time off, Innovations International and Trinity International will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 5:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Trinity International is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. Pinecrest Academy Cadence will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Lincoln County at 2:15 p.m. on December 28th.
