If Menchville was feeling good fresh off their 15-2 takedown of Warwick two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Monarchs came up short against the Kecoughtan Warriors on Tuesday, falling 17-1. The Monarchs' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Rashani Sackey (2026) was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double. Mikaylah Franco (2026) also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Menchville's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 4-2. As for Kecoughtan, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

While Menchville had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
