Baseball Recap: Kaufman Takes a Loss

Kaufman lost to Red Oak on Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lions came up short against the Hawks, falling 9-1. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kaufman saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Gomez, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Gomez is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Kaufman's loss dropped their record down to 5-13-1. As for Red Oak, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-10.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Kaufman is set to square off against their familiar foe Corsicana at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Red Oak will challenge rival Midlothian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
