Football Recap: BVCHEA Homeschool's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only BVCHEA HomeSchool walked away with it. Their defense stepped up to hand the Coastal Christian HomeSchool Badgers a 56-0 shutout on Friday. Considering the Mustangs have won six contests by more than 33 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Charlie Pote had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 153 yards and five touchdowns on only five carries. He is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last 20 games he's played dating back to last season.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for BVCHEA HomeSchool, adding 18 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Pote, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

The win was the eighth in a row for BVCHEA HomeSchool, bringing their record up to 8-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.9 points on average over those games. As for Coastal Christian HomeSchool, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

As of now, neither BVCHEA HomeSchool nor Coastal Christian HomeSchool have any future games scheduled.
