Volleyball Recap: Mia Archibald's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Desert Mountain over Arizona College Prep

Desert Mountain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Arizona College Prep Knights. The Wolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-23, 21-25, 25-17.

Desert Mountain's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mia Archibald, who had 12 digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Allison Wong, who had 17 digs and two aces.

Desert Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 10-19. As for Arizona College Prep, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-15-2.

Desert Mountain wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Chaparral on the 9th. As for Arizona College Prep, they will take on McClintock at 6:00 p.m. on the 16th.
