Basketball Game Preview: Hawkins Hawks vs. Union Grove Lions

The Hawkins Hawks will face off against the Union Grove Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hawkins is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 11 games.

On Friday, Hawkins humbled McLeod with a 59-32 victory. The Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 24 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Union Grove ended up a good deal behind McLeod on Tuesday and lost 67-51. The Lions have struggled against the Longhorns recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Hawkins pushed their record up to 23-2 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 29 points. As for Union Grove, their loss dropped their record down to 15-12.

Hawkins strolled past Union Grove when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a score of 57-42. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hawkins since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
