Basketball Game Preview: David Douglas Scots vs. Barlow Bruins

David Douglas hasn't had much luck against Barlow recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Scots will welcome the Bruins at 7:00 p.m. David Douglas will be strutting in after a victory while Barlow will be coming in after a defeat.

David Douglas was handed a 26-point loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, they made off with a 44-43 win over Sandy. The victory continues a trend for the Scots in their matchups with the Pioneers: they've now won five in a row.

Meanwhile, Barlow came up short against Nelson on Tuesday, falling 78-54.

David Douglas' win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-8. As for Barlow, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.

David Douglas might still be hurting after the 71-47 loss they got from Barlow in their previous matchup back in February of 2025. Can the Scots avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
