Baseball Recap: York Catholic Fighting Irish vs. Hanover Nighthawks

York Catholic extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 5-12 in the process. They fell 8-4 to the Hanover Nighthawks. The Fighting Irish were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Nighthawks earlier this season, when they won 12-0.

Aiden Zallnick was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. York Catholic is 2-1 when Zallnick allows one or fewer earned runs, but 3-11 otherwise. Zallnick was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
